Scientific Discussion Meeting on Analogue Gravity at the Royal Society, London
Dear friends and colleagues,
There will be a scientific discussion meeting on Analogue Gravity at the Royal Society of London on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th of December 2019, and you are warmly invited to register to attend (registration if free but compulsory).
The aim of the meeting is to gather a large community to discuss the latest experimental results on analogue gravity, and possible routes in the future. The meeting will consist of invited talks followed by ample questions/discussion time, extended breaks for discussion and two panel sessions chaired by Ian Walmsley FRS and Bill Unruh FRS. There will also be a poster session on Monday 9th in the end of the afternoon.
We strongly encourage you to submit an abstract for a poster (deadline 14/11/19, there are still spots!). There is no need to have any major result to present. On the contrary, the very point of the meeting is to discuss ongoing efforts, both on the theoretical and experimental side, and the more contributions the better. This will be a unique opportunity to present your work at such an institution as the Royal Society, and to discuss it with leaders in the field of Analogue Gravity. Please, do not hesitate to submit an abstract.
Head to the meeting's webpage to register, submit an abstract and see the programme -
We would be grateful if you could circulate this email within your group and to your collaborators and institutions, such that word of the meeting reaches the widest audience possible and that we are numerous to gather on this wonderful occasion.
We hope to see you in London in December, and we are available to answer any question you might have.
Maxime Jacquet, Silke Weinfurtner and Friedrich König
