PhD Position at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at Innsbruck University
We offer a 3-year PhD position (30 hours/week) starting as soon as possible in the field of theoretical high energy astrophysics at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at Innsbruck University. The candidate is expected to work on extending models for non-thermal emission of massive binary star systems and particle acceleration, and to collaborate with the Astroparticle Physics group at Innsbruck University. The position is part of a FWF-funded project of Assoc.-Prof. Dr. Anita Reimer at Innsbruck University.
Applicants are expected to hold a Master degree / diploma in physics, astrophysics or astronomy. Good knowledge of astroparticle physics and/or gamma ray astrophysics with focus towards theory, experience in programming and good English language skills are required.
