Joint Annual Meeting of ÖPG and SPS in Zürich

Submission deadline extended to 17 May 2019!

The next Annual Meeting will take place from 26 - 30 August 2019 at Zurich University (UZH). Like every other year, it will be jointly organized with our colleagues of the Swiss Physical Society. Renowned invited speakers will give plenary talks during each of the morning sessions, topical parallel sessions will allow in depth discussions during the afternoons, and a poster exhibition will complement the scientific program.

The scientific program is further enriched by the direct contributions of Association MaNEP (Materials with Novel Electronic Properties), the NCCR QSIT (Quantum Science and Technology) and the Swiss Society for Neutron Science (SGN), leading to an exciting conference, covering latest advancements of physics in a wide range of fields at its best.

You can submit abstracts to all topical sessions. The choice between an oral or a poster presentation of your contribution is possible. Due to the limited number of time slots the session organizers might however be forced to change oral presentations into posters. If possible, please mark the option "talk OR poster" in your submission. You will find more explanations directly on the submission page.

Submission deadline for abstracts: 30 April 2019 17 May 2019

Please do not wait until the last minute! An early submisson will make it easier for us to compile the program. Late-coming submissions will not be accepted!

Registration deadline: 1 August 2019

The final conference program is now available.

The 64th Annual Meeting of the Austrian Physical Society takes place in Poellau, Styria, on September 24 to 27, 2014. The 2014 annual meeting will have a new format, rather complementary to the format of the past joint annual meetings, and will be designed as a colloquial meeting to stimulate interdisciplinary encounters and discussions.

The Annual Meeting is closely linked to the "Pöllauer Tage der Physikgeschichte" on Ludwig Boltzmann ("Und dennoch bewegen sie sich ..."), which will take place on September 26, 2014, and will be open to the public.
